Between attending eight Olympic sport events and taking in the sights of London, Windsor, Oxford, Bath, and Stonehenge, the students also had to prep for and deliver their seminar presentations . . . at 7 a.m.! Needless to say, there was virtually no idle time as this trip definitely was not for the weary. For all of them, it came down to sacrificing their sleep -- whether 15 minutes or a couple hours -- in order to get done what they needed to do.
In the case of several students, they have been blogging or otherwise sending dispatches to various media outlets stateside. As previously referenced, Emily Savino and Nick Varney contributed to their town's online sports paper, The Sports Department, and in addition, Emily posted updates to the WNE Golden Bear Athletics web page, and following is Emily's final post from London.
