Pin Trading

As readers of this blog know, pin trading is another time-honored tradition of the Olympics, and is a great way for people from diverse backgrounds and countries to engage one another in the global village that will be Rio de Janeiro during the Olympic Games.  Visitors to my office are familiar with a cork board replete with hundreds of such pins acquired over the years.  To this end and with the help of the University's Creative Director Deb Chappell, we made a couple of these lapel pins for our delegation's pin-trading in Rio, the first of which can be seen above.  During the last Olympics, The New York Times published an article entitled, "A Beginner's Guide to Olympic Pin Collecting," a must-read for delegation pin-trading novices, and which can be found here:  http://nyti.ms/1ukgiPY
