Tomorrow is embarkation day, with our group arriving in London on Thursday, in plenty of time to scope the course for the torch relay to Olympic Stadium that will mark the start of the Olympic Games on Friday, beginning with the Opening Ceremonies that will be telecast on NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET (whew . . . talk about a run-on sentence!)
Back on October 6, 2011, when we had the first of many meetings with the students in the lead up to this trip, Heather Mears remarked that she was so excited about going to the London Olympics that she wished "it was happening already!" Well, Heather, we are officially in the T-minus countdown mode! Stand by . . . .
