Escadaria Selaron

Escadaria Selaron is the world-famous section of Rio de Janeiro that consists of 250 brightly tiled steps, and is the work of the Chilean-born artist by the same name
.
The steps are covered with more than 2,000 tiles from over 60 countries.

This section of Rio is famous for being a filming location that has been featured in many movies and television shows.

Today was "Brazil Day" -- a holiday -- since Brazil had its second match in the group stage, playing Mexico to a 0-0 score . . . which explains Andrea Canales, McKenzie Pezze, and Sarah Babski waving the familiar green, yellow, and blue flag!
