Coincidentally, the USOC's senior director for International Games, Doug Ingram, was staying at the same hotel as we were this week, so when he offered to screen his 2013 trek to the summit of Mt. Everest -- complete with PowerPoint slides of photos taken during his expedition -- our students were in the right place at the right time!
Here, Ingram takes the students through his journey from preparation and planning through his successful 2013 ascent, which was ten years in the making!
You can see from this photo that the students were mesmerized by the awe-inspiring presentation.
