Saturday, June 16

The Delegation's version of "Man/Woman of the Match" for today goes to Joe G, for being the first student to join the professors on their morning run.  Way to go, Joe!
At a grand sculpture in one of Moscow's celebrated subway stations, Conner is "crowned" by an important figure in the country's 19th century history.
The Delegation, with our guide, Yulia, at Belorusskaya Station.
Another one of Moscow's many palatial metro stations.
Russian Bear meets a Golden Bear.
It was Peru Day at Spartak (Otkritie Arena) in Moscow, though unfortunately, Peru fell short in its match against Denmark, 0-1.
Coincidentally, it was also France Day, with Les Bleus besting Australia, 2-1.
Prof. Sugermeyer, Kes, and Nate extend goodwill to both sides.
Patrick and Golden Bear mug with two Russian lasses dressed in traditional Russian folk garb.
Andrea sends her dad Father's Day greetings from the World Cup.
Steven and Nate throw their lot with Argentina before today's match.
Alex is just happy to be here repping the Golden Bears of Western New England University!
Joe G. decides it is cooler to be on the side that does the Viking clap.
New York Yankees, the best team in MLB with a .692 winning percentage as of today, but I digress...
Whenever Messi (in dark jersey with green shoes) touched the ball inside the box, the entire stadium grew nervous in anticipation of a possible goal.
Although Messi did not score, his footwork and wizardry with the ball did not fail to amaze.
Dr. Dan Covell was "on the job" in the subway train after the match.
Brian Gross was also on duty at the other end of the same train.
